We would like to take a moment to tell you more about the “Low Voltage Directive” created by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union.
The low voltage directive (LVD) (2014/35/EU) ensures that electrical equipment within certain voltage limits provides a high level of protection for European citizens, and benefits fully from the single market. It has been applicable since 20 April 2016.
This directive applies to a wide range of electrical equipment for both consumer and professional usage and Power cables are part of it.
The latest powerCON version (Blue/grey and TOP) are compliant with all relevant versions of the 60320-1 standard. This is a mandatory requirement for use on equipment connection cables in accordance with IEC EN 60799, which applies to the event sector, among other things. Directive-compliant power cables in this area must therefore be equipped with power connectors certified to IEC EN 60320-1.
As a major actor of the field, Neutrik ensures that the products you buy complies with the European standards.
