Fiber SFP Modules

An SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable), also known as a miniGBIC (Gigabit Interface Converter), is a compact modular optical transceiver used in communication networks. It plugs into an SFP port on a network switch, media converter, or server, enabling data transmission and reception over fiber.

SFP transceivers typically feature an LC fiber connector and are compatible with either single-mode or multimode fiber, depending on the module type. They support various fiber cable distances and types while offering high-speed data transmission. Additionally, SFP modules are hot-pluggable, allowing for easy network upgrades and modifications without the need for extensive cable infrastructure changes.
