Let us introduce you to Neutrik’s powerCON® power connectors range, a range of compact, reliable, lockable and robust connectors. Neutrik expanded its amazing line of connectors by introducing the powerCON® TRUE1 TOP, powerCON® 20 A and powerCON® 32 A.

PowerCON® TRUE1 TOP

Lockable 16/20A Single Phase Connector

Neutrik powerCON® TRUE1 TOP is a locking 16A power connector for outdoor applications. In other words, it replaces appliance couplers wherever a very rugged solution and a locking mechanism are needed to guarantee a safe power connection. This ruggedized, sealed and UV resistant connector boasts the UL 50E Type 4 certification and the IP65 rating, meaning it will not suffer from extreme weather conditions such as dirt, rain, snow, dust and ice. In addition, it is a connector with breaking capacity (as per IEC 60320-1), which means it can be connected or disconnected under live load. The connectors are ideal for heavy-duty and harsh environment applications of entertainment equipment like PA systems, signs, and LED screens or lightings. The TRUE1 version is a male/female version, meaning no couplers are needed.

    Features & Benefits

  • Heavy duty sealed power connector for harsh and demanding environment
  • Unique Neutrik cable retention
  • Uses high impact UV-resistant materials
  • Lockable 16 A (acc. ENEC, VDE) / 20 A (acc. UL) connector
  • Extremely robust and reliable
  • IP65 rating and certified outdoor protection to UL 50E enclosure type 4 (in mated condition)
  • Easy and reliable twist lock system
  • ENEC certified in accordance with IEC 60320
  • UL498 certified
  • True mains connector with breaking capacity (CBC)

PowerCON® 20 A

The powerCON® is a locking 3 conductor equipment AC connector with contacts for line, neutral and pre-mating ground contact. That is to say that it replaces appliance couplers wherever a very rugged solution in combination with a locking device is needed in order to guarantee a safe power connection.

Consequently, those extremely robust code-colored connectors are perfect for high current capacity needs in a small space (they are smaller than an IEC connector and double the current-carrying capacity) and they are lockable.

To extend your length, you can use coupler, allowing you to combine multiple cables.

Locking 3 Poles Power Connectors

    Features & Benefits

  • Lockable 3 pole single phase equipment (AC) connector
  • High current capacity, rated at 20 A / 250 V ac
  • Colour coded for easy identification, powerCON offers power-in (blue) and power-out (grey) versions with different keying to avoid the possibility of intermating
  • Fast and easy locking system
  • Extremely robust and reliable
  • UL, cUL recognized components (file no. E 135070), VDE certified (Reg. No. 6360),
  • New latch design for easier handling and secure locking
  • Coupler for linking cables (couples NAC3FCA to NAC3FCB)
  • Ergonomic design
  • Unique Neutrik chuck type strain relief
  • Improved kink protection by two-component bushing
  • Excellent cable retention

PowerCON® High-Current 32 A

Locking 32A single Phase Connectors

The 32 A powerCON® is an extremely robust, reliable and locking single phase AC appliance cable connector for high current capacity (32 A). It was conceived as a non-standardized 3 pole connection system without breaking capacity to serve the needs of high power distribution systems and supplies for professional audio, lighting equipment and installations. Therefore, the connectors consist of contacts for phase, neutral and protective earth (ground) conductors rated for currents up to 32 A and for voltages up to 250V.

    Features & Benefits

  • Locking single phase AC appliance coupler
  • High current capacity (32 A rated)
  • Excellent cable handling and protection
  • Extremely robust and reliable
  • 250 V ac, 32 A single-phase (for ambient temperatures up to 35 °C)
  • Premating contact for protective earth
  • Fast and easy locking system to prevent unintentional disengagement
  • Cable O.D. range: 8–20 mm
  • Wiring with screw-type terminals for wires 2.5 to 6.0 mm2 (AWG 14 – 10)
  • IEC 62368-1 compliant up to 4000 W

CEE Plug Vs PowerCON®

While CEE plugs provide a much larger diversity (from 16A to 400A, 2 poles to 7 poles, etc.), Neutrik’s powerCON® focuses on the most common cases. In other words, if we don’t compare apples and pears, we can observe that for the same properties, the powerCON® offers a much easier/simpler locking mechanism in addition to be incredibly more compact!
